Weld Central Rebels Varsity fell 5-2 to Sheridan on Friday despite out-hitting them 11 to seven.
Sheridan opened up scoring in the first inning. Sheridan scored one run when Dylan Barczak singled.
Sheridan pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third #15 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Caleb Madrid toed the rubber for Sheridan. He surrendered two runs on 11 hits over seven innings, striking out four.
Garret Becker was on the hill for Weld Central Rebels Varsity. He lasted three innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out five. Daniel Begler and Blake Gudka entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.
Weld Central Rebels Varsity totaled 11 hits. Gavin Johan and Vince LaConte all had multiple hits for Weld Central Rebels Varsity. LaConte and Johan each managed two hits to lead Weld Central Rebels Varsity.
