The Weld Central Rebels Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Conifer, giving up 12 runs.
In the first inning, Conifer got their offense started when Avery Fulford singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
A single by Hayes Edens in the first inning was a positive for Weld Central Rebels Varsity.
Fulford got the win for Conifer. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over five innings, striking out 14 and walking one.
Gavin Johan was on the pitcher’s mound for Weld Central Rebels Varsity. He lasted three and a third innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out one. Daniel Begler threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
