Rebels News · FBLA Knocks It Out Of The Park At State Conference

Hannah Rockwell did a presentation on her website Wednesday afternoon, then we found out Thursday morning that she qualified for Finals as one of the top 12 groups in Web Design. She presented again Thursday afternoon in the Finals round. Unfortunately she did not qualify for Nationals, but to even make it to Finals was a first for us and very exciting. Way to go Hannah!!
Even more exciting news, Lauren Gerken and Carson Sherwood received 3rd place on their Partnership with Business Project/Report!! They qualified for Nationals!!! This is the first time we’ve ever qualified for Nationals in a competitive event (last year we qualified by completing the Outstanding Chapter Award), so we’re all very excited. They did this event based on our Craft Fair in the fall which the Chapter spent countless hours putting together and working. It was truly a team effort and we’re so proud of Lauren and Carson for representing our Chapter. Now we have a trip to Baltimore, Maryland to plan!!
In other news, two of our other students placed in the top 10 for their event. This is truly the best year we’ve had for competitive events! Please congratulate:
Kailtyn Becker placed 9th in Journalism.
Bethany Flanagan placed 10th in Database Design & Applications.
Lastly, Adrian Secundino got to walk the stage to accept our Chapter’s Peak Award. That was a nice surprise for him.
